Frequently Asked Questions

I am a PHS Member or Friend. How many tickets can I get? How can I order extra tickets?

You should register for your tickets online. Each adult member or friend of the shul will receive one ticket. Children of members/friends under 25 also receive free tickets. When you register, you will also be able to purchase additional tickets for guests and adult children over the age of 26 for an additional cost per ticket.

I’ve registered online, when will I receive my tickets?

Once we’ve received your online registration and have confirmed that you are a member in good standing, you are all set. Paper tickets will not be distributed.

I’m not current on my dues and fees. What should I do?

Please contact Michael Chasan at treasurer@prospectheightsshul.org, or go to your PHS account (powered by Shulcloud) here and update your account status.

Which services can I attend with my tickets?

All high holiday services and classes offered through the Prospect Heights Shul. For a full schedule, see here.

Do you offer babysitting?

Yes! Please indicate the names and ages of your children when you register and consider donating to our childcare fund (suggested donation is $36 per child).

Is there assigned seating? I really need a special seat.

Seats are not pre-assigned. If you have special seating needs, please email logistics@prospectheightsshul.org and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Is there parking?

Our community would love to host you so that you are within walking distance of the prayer sites. If you are interested in learning more, please contact hospitality@prospectheightsshul.org. However, if you choose to drive, street parking is available.

Tell me about security.

We provide extra security on the High Holy Days. If you bring a bag, it may be searched.

What time is Yizkor?

Yizkor is on Shabbat (Saturday), September 30 shortly after 11:00 AM.  You can view the complete schedule online here.

How do I make a donation to the Yom Kippur Appeal?

The Yom Kippur appeal is our annual fundraising campaign. Contributions support PHS’s wonderful programs throughout the year and are tax-deductible. You can make your gift online now at this link. You will also be able to make a pledge at Yom Kippur services.
